Ten fielders will play in the field by using four outfielders
All players will be in the batting line-up. (This means that if you have 13 players, all 13 players will bat in order, regardless if they are playing in the field during that inning.)
After the batter accumulates three legitimate strikes, a batting tee will be made available and the batter may swing as many times as it takes to put the ball legally into play.
There are no strikeouts, walks, or hit-by-pitch advancements.
A maximum of five runs per inning per team is permitted. (When the 5th run crosses the plate, the run counts and the inning is declared completed.)
Games will be five innings in length or end after one hour and 15 minutes. When the time limit is reached, the game will end, regardless of which team is batting and/or how many outs there are and will considered a regulation contest. Games stopped because of other factors, like weather, will be
considered official games if all players have batted at least one time.
No scores will be kept. (Coaches are encouraged to only keep track of runs for the purpose of noting when five runs are scored during each at-bat. The players will try to keep score, but will lose track. We encourage coaches to state that every game is tied when it is declared over.)
Absolutely no individual or team statistics and/or win-loss standings should be maintained.
Coaches should make every attempt to rotate the team batting order so that different kids lead off or bat high in the order each game. Likewise, coaches should rotate positions on the field (bench-infield-outfield) each game. The easiest method is to do this after the 2nd and 4th innings. Therefore, kids will play in 3 spots each regulation game;
remember safety, though, for the youngest kids.
